Mr. Tandin Dorji from Bhutan is now the new Managing Director for Kingston International College in Perth, Western Australia

The Founder and Chief Operations Officer of EducationPro, a boutique education consultancy, is now the new Managing Director for Kingston International College in Perth, Western Australia. Tandin will assume the role as the head for Kingston International College in Perth, Western Australia effective from 15th March 2022.

His professional experience and career spans wide. In Bhutan, he was employed at the prestigious Kuensel Corporation Limited (National Newspaper) as a core computer programmer where he developed direct modules for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and worked on process automation.

While he was conducting his education in Australia, he was elected as Vice-President and later the President of the International Student Council at the Academic Board, and the Teaching & Learning Board under Career’s Australia Group (CAG). The group was then headed by the former Trade and Investment Minister, Andrew Robb.

Upon completion of his studies, Tandin got to work with an Australian Multi-national Company and Registered Migration Agents before he started his own company.

Today, Tandin is well known in Bhutan for helping thousands of aspiring Bhutanese students wanting to study abroad. Recently, his company helped to charter over seven hundred Bhutanese students to Australia during the COVID Pandemic, a critical and crucial time.

Talking with Tandin, he had the following to say: I am overwhelmed to get such an opportunity and I would like to thank His Majesty the King of Bhutan first, for making education freely accessible to all the citizens, irrespective of caste, race, and socio-economic circumstances. He is extremely grateful for the opportunities, for if he was unable to avail free education in Bhutan, coming from a broken family in a very remote place of Lhuntse, he would have left home to work in the fields and would not have been able to fulfil his academic ambitions.

He is also thankful to his wife, family, team members and friends who supported him all the way from startup till present and pushing him to succeed. In particular, he is thankful to his mentors: Dr Eunice, David Ensor (then CEO for CAG), Subodh Dhakal (RMA), James Clarke (President, Australia-China Business Council), Lyonpo Yeshi Dorji (Former Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests) and his brother and close friend Chencho Dorji (the founder of the Voice of Bhutan), Lopen Kuenlay (Tolly) and Mr. Hari (principal founder of NIT Australia) and many more.

Tandin is an Associate CPA (10758792) and holds Post Grad in LINUX for Networks Applications, BBus, BBus Accounting, BSc. Computer Science and he is a Certified Education Counsellor (QEAC S300) (CCG 1558). Tandin is an almuni of Murdoch University in Perth and Sherubtse College in Bhutan.

Tandin aspires to add more programs at Kingston such as Master of Business Administration (Business Analytics, FinTech Management, Accounting Intellengence, Applied Financial Technology and Blockchain) and Master of Big Data Auditing and Business Research required for 21st century workforce.

Tandin is also one of the founders of Bhutanese Language School in Perth WA which is currently in the process of being founded.
