Course Description:

Students will learn how to implement an approved learning framework within the confines of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. Students will also be given the responsibility to design and implement a curriculum for early childhood education and care services. As part of this course, students will also be required to gain a minimum of 240 hours of work-based training in a regulated child care environment with children aged 0-6 years.

This course will be delivered in collaboration with The Inner World of Teaching (RTO Number 52785). The Venue of the training as well as the delivery of the course will be provided by Kingston International College. The Inner World of Teaching will provide enrolments, orientation, administrative support and assessment of student’s academic work. Certificate will be provided by both Kingston and TIWT.

Entry Requirements:

Completion of Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or obtain RPL or credit transfer for required units

Matured Aged students are assessed on case by case basis on their eligibility to enrol to the respective course based on their working experience if they do not have evidence of previous required academic qualifications.

Work-Based Training Arrangement:

Practical experience at a local child care centre and successful completion of the placement is part of the course assessment. Kingston works closely with a range of local child care centres that provide work placement opportunities to our students. Before undertaking work placement, students must have Working With Children (WWC) clearance and a valid Australian First Aid Certificate. After enrolling with Kingston, students should apply for Working With Children (WWC) clearance at any Post Office.
